FAQ

If you would like to ask us anything about Holmedale Health please get in touch. All our details are available on our contact page

Where are you?
Denmark Road is in St Leonards, close to the City Centre and Magdalen Road shops in an area often referred to as the Harley Street of Exeter.

What equipment do you provide?
All rooms are flexible and adaptable with desks and chairs. They have modern PC network and telephone connections. Clinical rooms have the use of treatment plinths and massage tables. Counselling rooms have armchairs and tables.

How do you charge?
All rooms are available on a casual hourly basis but to get the full benefit of what we offer, we have created the Holmedale Health Associated Practitioner scheme, (HhAP).

These practitioners either pay a minimal monthly fee with no commitment to room use and a great deal of flexibility, or commit to a small amount of use over an extended period with less flexibility and no monthly fee.

All HhAPs receive numerous benefits which include substantially discounted rates and business support
What do you mean by “business support”

All practitioners booking rooms have the use of the waiting room, the reception and receptionist, HhAP’s also receive, the use of our business address and logo etc, email address with webmail access, appointment Booking, telephone Answering, message service, dedicated telephone number available, basic printing, photocopying and faxing (subject to fair use policy) Up to five additional nominated “partner” practitioners at reduced HhAP fee.

What extras do I have to pay for?
Any administrative facilities required not listed in the previous question.

Do you employ practitioners?
No, our practitioners run their own businesses.

Are you registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)?
The CQC “inspect GP practices and other primary medical services in England to check that they are meeting the national standards of quality and safety” and Hh falls into this category.

Our understanding is that within this, unlike hospitals, premises are not registered in isolation. A CQC registration is for a combination of Practitioner, premises and specific procedures that require regulation. We have practitioners currently working here under CQC registration.

Do you advertise for clients for the practitioners?
Our practitioners find their own clients. However we do run co-operative advertisements with our practitioners and there are lots of opportunities for cross referrals and joint marketing.

What disciplines do you have or envisage at Holmedale?
Our goal is to be multi-discipline with a broad range of health practitioners from right across the health care spectrum. If you take a look at our links page you can see who practises at Holmedale.

Do you limit practitioners by disciplines
This is not our intention. However if at any stage we became too focused in one area it is something we may consider.

Is there parking?
Not onsite but there are two public car parks minutes away, one at each end of Denmark Road. There are also a great many 2 hour bays in the surrounding streets.
